Soy Wax Candle Appearance

Our soy wax candles have a natural, semi-matte finish that many candle lovers appreciate. Unlike paraffin, soy wax may develop a bumpy or cratered surface after burning—a small trade-off for choosing an eco-friendly product (but also a great way to know you are burning a naturally-derived product)!

Another unique feature of soy wax is its strong adhesion to glass once it solidifies, especially in clear containers. This can create variations in texture, which is completely normal and does not affect performance.

Lastly, frosting—the tiny crystal formations that may appear on the surface or sides of the wax over time. This is a natural characteristic of soy wax and a sign that your candle is free from artificial additives. While frosting may change the look slightly, rest assured it does not impact the quality or burn of your candle.

We hope you can embrace these natural quirks just like my hoomans have come to love all of mine—because beauty isn’t about perfection, it’s about character! - Oatie
