Hi Everyone! We’re Johnny, Connie, and Oatie— a small family based in San Diego, CA. Connie is from Petaluma, CA, Johnny’s from Houston, TX, and Oatie hails from Tijuana (he’s a rescue with a big personality).

We love staying active and spending time outside, though it really fluctuates from week to week. Our go-to activities include day camping, camping, pickleball, and pilates—when we can squeeze them in. Connie spends most of her time working on her Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling, while Johnny works and does online classes full-time (someone’s gotta cover Oatie and Connie’s rent).

Oatie is a four-year-old terrier mix who loves cuddles, eating, and a good sunny breeze. He hibernates in the winter, has IVDD, and is incredibly sassy.

Connie recently got into candle making and almost gave up on it, until Johnny’s shower thoughts sparked an idea to combine our love of camping with candles! We’re still learning and it’s a lot of trial and error, but it’s been an exciting journey, and Oatie demands to be involved every step of the way.

We’ve been on this IVDD journey with Oatie for quite a minute now, and we also wanted to use this platform to raise awareness about IVDD in dogs.
